Travelling safely to school

We want all of our pupils to have a positive start to each school day. An important part of this is arriving to school safely in the morning.

Where possible, we would encourage families to walk to school. Walking to school is a great way to start the day! Not only does it help keep us fit and healthy, but it’s also a fun way to spend time with friends or family. When we walk, we reduce the number of cars on the road, making it safer for everyone and helping the environment.

We understand that for some families, arriving to school by car is a necessity. Although, we have some parking available near the school, we encourage parents to park on quieter roads slightly further away from school and to walk the final part of your journey.

Each day, we have over 1,000 parents, pupils and staff travelling to and from school. In order to keep everyone safe, we have created a guide for safe travel. We expect all parents to follow this guide.
